Community Involvement

As a company the connection to home and the land is important, and that is why Good Lands strives to hire locally talented staff.  Those who grew up within the area understand how important it is to foster connections within our communities, and why it is important in the way which we conduct business.  Community matters to each of us, and we have a vested interest to continue to support our local towns and municipalities.

Good Lands endeavors to promote both science and the environment within the communities it serves, as well as proudly supporting and donating to many local groups.

With a focus on the future, Good Lands has actively worked with Southwest Horizon School Division (SHSD) with the hope that we can encourage students, and showcase the opportunities in the fields of science and technology.  Some of the programs and activities we have been involved with are:

  • Pierson Petroleum Project
  • SHSD Women in Science
  • Classroom Presentations
  • Student Job Shadowing
  • Grad Awards

Good Lands has also supported local events that our staff are involved with, and those events which are important to them personally.  Over the past 4 years, Good Lands has donated funds to:

  • Pierson Early Learning Center
  • Pierson High School Indoor Rodeo
  • West Souris River Conservation District
  • Waskada Rink Committee
  • Melita Lions Club
  • and many more.

We are also a proud supporter of Pierson’s Annual “Sprint Into Summer” Event, which supports awareness and raises money for research towards finding a cure for Huntington Disease(HD).  Please follow this link to find out how you can help.
